We have created an electric scooter that adheres to the US2002 Federal law (Read point 6 here). It can travel at a maximum speed of 18mph (29kph). It has pedals so you
can ride it like a regular bike. Since the GIO Wisp is not classified as a motor vehicle, you can ride it without a license.

Do I need a driving licence?
The Wisp is indeed legal in the US as they are classified as an e-bike. Their max speed is 15MPH and they have pedals which work. Therefore, no licence, gas or registration is required. Always check locally for any specific regulations that may prevent the use of an e-bike.
What’s the maximum range of GIO Wisp?
A single charge of our electric bike scooter will produce a range of about 50 miles (80km).
Where are you located?
Our central warehouse is located just outside of Vancouver, BC, Canada and we ship free to the lower 48 states.
Where can you drive the bike?
The Wisp is classified similar to a bicycle. So anywhere a bike is allowed to go so should the scooter. Always check local regulations before riding though.
