Whether in a home or facility, patient transfers remain risky. With one slip, the patient could fall onto the floor. Aides and caregivers, meanwhile, experience muscle strain from repeatedly lifting and supporting a patient.
The Arjo Sara Stedy patient lift provides a solution. Built for individuals with the hand, arm and upper-body strength to pull themselves into a standing position, this manual, non-automated lift helps patients securely and confidently transfer from one surface to another - for example, a bed to a wheelchair. Caregivers, meanwhile, get support for performing this routine process.
Helping promote safety and stability with its unique features, the Sara Stedy is available in two sizes: the Sara Stedy, which is designed for patients from 4'11" to 6'6" and up to 400 lbs., and the Sara Stedy Compact, for patients from 4'6" to 5'8" who weigh up to 400 lbs. Both versions feature a pivoting seat opening, knee support, pedal-operated chassis legs and crossbar handles.
This sit-to-stand lift minimizes the amount of handling required by caregivers. Financing is available for the Sara Stedy lift, which allows you to buy now and pay over time. Why Use a Sara Steady Sit-to-Stand Lift?
This stand aid is designed with several features that benefit the patient and the caregiver. One notable feature is the inclusion of a cross-bar handle. With this feature, the patient can grab onto the handle to pull themselves upward as they stand, supporting themselves in the process. Unlike a pushing motion, pulling helps reduce the risk of urine leakage and preserves their dignity and comfort.
Additionally, integrated handgrips into the seat let the caregiver conveniently maneuver and turn the aid while it is in use. This feature enhances the caregiver's control and ease of operation.
Pedal-operated legs further improve accessibility during transfers. This feature eliminates the need for the caregiver to bend down, instead letting them adjust the legs from a standing position. Moreover, the inclusion of total-lock castors ensures stability when the aid is anchored, providing a secure and safe environment for the patient.
For both the patient and caregiver, a lower chassis and small castors improve maneuverability and how the patient accesses the lift from a seated position.
