The U-Step 2 was created to increase your independence. The secret is in our patented U-shaped base. Its ultra-stable foundation braces you in every direction. It is not like pushing a typical walker. Instead, the U-Step 2 surrounds you and moves with you. You will feel as stable as you would feel holding onto another person’s arm. The innovative braking system is easy to use and puts you in complete control. The U-Step 2 will not roll unless you are ready to walk. When you lightly squeeze either brake release lever, the unit will roll with you. Once you release the lever, the unit will stop immediately. This feature is particularly helpful when standing up from a chair because the unit will not roll away from you.

Features:

  • You will feel as stable as you would feel holding onto another person’s arm.
  • This item may be a differ in model, color, etc. Please review the title and features carefully.

Reversed Braking System
The innovative braking system is easy to use and puts you in complete control. The U-Step 2 will not roll until you lightly squeeze either hand brake. Once you release the hand brake, the unit will stop immediately. This feature is particularly helpful when standing up from a chair because the unit will not roll away from you.

Rolling Resistance Control
Unlike other rolling walkers, you can adjust the rolling speed of the new U-Step 2. Many people find that wheeled walkers roll too fast for them. That is why we engineered a control for setting the rolling resistance. Loosen the set screw and rotate the adjustment lever to the desired amount of resistance, then re-tighten the set screw.

Size Guide:

  • Small (5’0”-5’9”)
  • Tall (5’7” – 6’4”)

Medicare Reimbursement:

The U-Step Neuro is the only neurological walker covered by Medicare. For example, it is covered for Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke, to name a few of the more common conditions, where a person would use the U-Step Neuro. Medicare also covers if for people who have limited use of one hand and need one-handed brake controls.

The U-Step Neuro Medicare code (HCPCS) is E0147. As a national Medicare provider, In-Step Mobility, can submit claims on your patient’s behalf. Medicare reimburses up to $400.

Any Medicare provider can also order in and submit claims for your patients. The U-Step Neuro is reimbursable under Medicare Part B, which is only for home. Patient’s in the hospital or skill care facility, would not be eligible under their Part B benefits. Prior equipment, such as the purchase of walkers, wheelchairs or scooters, could disqualify them from Medicare coverage.

In cases where a customer would not be eligible, In-Step offers discounts. In-Step also works with foundations, which often cover the cost when it is an issue.

A Blessing!

I was worried about my father falling so I ordered this and the accessory. Then I spoke with Amer in chat, then Kimberly reached out via email to tell me it was on back order. Amer then called me and apologized about the back order debacle saying it wouldn't be available until October 1st. I explained that I would wait, and let my Mom know it would be a few weeks longer than expected, and to tell my Dad to be very careful. Wouldn't you know, we were Blessed with a shipment exactly on time, before the back order time! He's had it for maybe 2 weeks now and he LOVES it! No more chasing a rollator that was too short for him as it was, and it is doing exactly what it was designed to do for his diagnosis! My mom said, "It is the Cadillac of walkers! I looked it up and did you know this is the same one Michael J Fox uses"?!? I definitely recommend! Safer for him, (and he loves the basket to carry things in) and less stress on her! Win-Win! I'd highly recommend ordering from this company too, as they were kind, helpful and understanding!

In-Step Mobility U-Step 2 Upright Walking Stabilizer with Forearm Platforms

This has been a great purchase. Being mobile and not being able to use my left hand because of a car accident has made me feel more steady because I don't have to worry about falling. I received the walker quicker than I hoped for. thank you.
