The Pressure Positive Original Backnobber ® is hand crafted from a US manufactured steel bar, bent in the shape of an “S” with wooden balls, one relatively small and one somewhat larger, permanently affixed to each end. The tool is used by hooking the device over a shoulder or under an arm and using its leverage to apply direct, deep, steady pressure to trigger points in the muscles of the neck, shoulders and upper and lower back or any large or small muscle in the body where a trigger point might occur.
This pressure followed by careful, regular stretching and strengthening excercises can, over time, significantly reduce muscle tension. The Original Backnobber® , the first of its kind, has been a classic favorite of professional, hands on therapists for over twenty years. The Regular size Backnobber measures approximately 19 inches in overall length with curves 9 inches across each curve. This size is used comfortably by most adults for over the shoulder, deep muscle compression in the neck and upper back areas and under an arm for middle and lower back areas.

Best ever
We have had this item for decades and a friend really wanted it. We were not willing to give it up as it is something we use regularly. I did a search and it was quite hard to find, but when we found it we bought her one for Christmas.
Still a great tool!
I bought my original backnobber at least 30 years ago, and found it very helpful for the tightness in my back which I was experiencing then. I’m glad to say that I haven’t been needing it nearly as much in recent years, but I still keep it hanging on the chair in the kitchen. yesterday a friend stopped by and And was almost crippled by severe pain in his lower back. I massaged him as well as I could, and then showed him the back knob and lent it to him, though he was a bit hesitant to take it. Today when I texted to find out how he’s doing, his reply was, “ The back knob is a blessing!“ I highly recommend it!
Excellent product but website needs work.
Mark (not Rob) here. I was the purchaser. This purchase was a gift for Rob. However, your web site is not set up to select "is this a gift?" Thus the only choice for ship-to was the recipient. Also, I was not able to add a note for the recipient, which I did not realize I could not do until already starting the purchase. And, since the knobber arrived without any paperwork describing it, the purchaser was confused as to its reason for existing. Please consider adding a gift option to the purchase pages on the website.
I love this
I saw one at a former massage therapist’s home, tried it and immediately went home and purchased one. It helps me massage my knots by myself with excellent results. The shape gives great leverage so there is good pressure on the knots with minimal effort from me. Everyone needs a Backnobber!
