    How to Cool Gel Packs

    • Place gel pack flat in freezer for at least 2 hours.
    • Remove gel pack from freezer and place it in knee brace before applying.
    • Apply the knee brace to the affected area.
    • Never apply cold therapy longer than 15-20 minutes at a time.

    How to Heat Gel Packs in a Microwave

    Note:Gel pack must be at room temperature before heating in microwave

    • Place gel pack on a paper towel in the microwave.
    • Heat at full power for 45-60 seconds.
    • Reheat at 10-second intervals until desired temperature is reached.
    • Place in knee brace and apply to the affected area.
    • Do not apply hot therapy longer than 15-20 minutes at a time.

    How to Heat Gel Packs on a Stove Top

    • Bring 3 quarts (3.5 liters) of water to a boil.
    • Remove water from heat source. Note: Never immerse gel pack while water is being heated.
    • Immerse gel pack in hot water for 2.5 - 3 minutes.
    • Place in knee brace and apply to the affected area.
    • Do not apply hot therapy longer than 15-20 minutes at a time.

    Application:

    • Place heated or cold gel packs in the pockets of the brace. There are two front pockets and one rear pocket
